PURPOSE: To perform the disposition of the gas to be exhausted surely and quickly to obtain the powder body pressure forming item having uniform density by hemming the pressure face of a specular body and by providing a peripheral edge cut part thereon, in case of pressing a powder body by the specular body.

CONSTITUTION: Specular bodies 1, 2 are hemmed on their powder body pressing faces 3, 4 and peripheral edge cut parts 5, 6 are provided thereon. Accordingly, the powder body 8 which is pinched between a die 7 and the upper and lower powder body pressing faces 3, 4 in pressing generates gas, but the parts 5, 6 thereof becomes to be utilized as a gas pool because of the parts 5, 6 existing as a cavity. In case of the pressure removal, moreover, no distortion remains due to its being absorbed by the peripheral edge cut parts 5, 6 as a cavity even in case of the distortion being caused with a green compact 9 being expanded.
