Abstract:
To provide a powder coating composition which, when cured with a curing agent comprising a β-hydroxyalkylamide, exhibits an excellent low- temperature curability and can form a coating film excellent in properties such as water resistance.
This powder coating composition contains (A) a carboxy-group- containing resin modified with a methylolated and/or etherified melamine resin and/or benzoguanamine resin, (B) a β-hydroxyalkylamide curing agent represented by formula (1) [wherein each R1 is independently H or methyl; each R2 is indepenently H, a 1-5C alkyl or HOCH(R1)CH2-; and A is a divalent hydrocarbon group], and (C) a carbodiimide-group-containing compound and/or an oxazoline-group-containing compound.
