To obtain a powder coating that provides photocatalytic performance by photocatalytic activity even in a condition having little ultraviolet irradiation or almost no ultraviolet irradiation and develops photocatalytic activity especially indoors so as to exhibit photocatalytic performance and a coating film layer, to provide a coating method and to obtain a coated article.

The powder coating obtains photocatalytic performance by photocatalytic activity of a photocatalytic crystal 1 with a visible light even in a condition having little ultraviolet irradiation or almost no ultraviolet irradiation by development of the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalytic crystal 1 mixed in a coating matrix 2 with a visible light at a wavelength of ≥380 nm and develops the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalytic crystal 1 by making good use of a visible light derived from a light of fluorescent light, etc., existing indoors even in a house hardly having ultraviolet irradiation so as to exhibit photocatalytic performance.
