Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder which can be used for a powder coating capable of giving a coating film having such excellent barrier properties as to prevent the formation of rust or corrosion, excellent chemical resistance, and excellent flexibility.
SOLUTION: The powder comprises (C) a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer containing 0.3 to 40 mol% structural units (I) and having an ethylene content of 2 to 60 mol%. Further, the powder comprises (C) the modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and (F) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer freed from structural units (I) and having an ethylene content of 2 to 60 mol%. The powder coating comprises such a powder.
