PURPOSE: To provide a powder feeder for a powder screening machine which controls powder scattering and saves labor during powder feeding in comparison with conventional machines.

CONSTITUTION: A powder feeder 1 is equipped with a powder scattering preventive cover 5a installed on the periphery of the powder feeding port 4 of a powder screening machine 3 and a powder scattering preventive cover 5b installed above the cover 5a. A rotary support frame 7 is pivoted to fixed support frames 6 installed on both sides of the powder feeding port 4 by a fitting shaft 6c, and the rotary support frame 7 turns between a powder bag fitting position at about 90° to the fixed support frame 6 and a feeding position at about 10° to the fixed support frame 6. A powder bag opening fixing hanger 9 is inserted into a powder bag 10. At a bag fitting position, the powder bag 10 is placed on a bag mounting table 8 on the rotary support frame 7. In a state in which the peripheral part of the opening of the powder bag 10 is inserted into the powder scattering preventive covers 5a, 5b by the hanger 9, the fixed support frame 6 is rotated to the feeding position, the bag mounting table is installed toward the place where covers 5a, 5b are absent, and powder is fed into the powder screening machine 3.
