PURPOSE: To prevent the direct collision of powder flow against an electrode support for electrification and to prevent the wear thereof so that the stable powder flow is obtd. by injecting pressurized air from the electrode support for electrification in the direction opposite to the flow of the powder flow.

CONSTITUTION: The pressurized air (a) for controlling the powder flow flows through the pipeline b-b' of an electrode holding body 8 for electrification to control the spread angle θ of the powder flow. The specified pressurized air is ejected from the upper part 3 of the electrode support 7 for electrification through another air pipeline b-d-e to create a non-contact part (f) of the powder flow and the upper part 3 at this time. The wear and failure of the surface in the upper part 3 of the electrode support for electrification by the powder flow are prevented by the generation of non-contact part (f) of the powder flow. A cap 11 made of stainless steel improves the slip with the powder flow on the side face in the upper part of the support 7, thus exhibiting the effect of preventing the sticking of paints, etc.
