Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a powder fuel which is small in dust content, excellent in combustibility and can prolong the life of a denitration catalyst, by adding a particular iron compd. to pulverized deashed coal to deposit the iron compd. on the surface of the coal.
CONSTITUTION: Pulverized inorg. iron compd. (B) (e.g., iron oxide) of which the surface is coated with an oil-soluble org. iron compd. (iron octylate) or a lipophilic surfactant (e.g., nonylphenyl ethylene oxide having an ethylene oxide content of 6mol or less) is added to pulverized deashed coal (A), thereby depositing component B on the surface of component A.
