Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder feeding method in which time required for feeding a constant amount of powder is reduced compared to the case of not varying a flow quantity of air supplied to a discharge unit, and thereby restrict degradation of controllability of a powder feeding amount.SOLUTION: A powder feeding device 10 includes: a storage unit 12 for storing powder; a discharge unit 14 connected to the storage unit 12; discharging means 16 for discharging the powder; and air flow supply means 18 for supplying an air flow to the discharge unit 14. A powder feeding method includes a process of feeding a constant amount of powder by using the powder feeding device. The process includes: a step 1 for supplying an air flow of a flow quantity q1 using air flow supply means 18; and a step 2 for supplying an air flow of a flow quantity q2 smaller than the flow quantity q1 using the air flow feeding means 18. In the powder feeding method, the step 1 is changed over to the step 2 before a total amount of the powder fed according to the above steps reaches a target feed amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
