To provide a method for producing powdered chewing gum dispensing with a process for cooling to 0°C or lower in a process for producing the powdered chewing gum, and to provide tablet chewing gum obtained by directly tableting the powdered chewing gum.
The method for producing the powdered chewing gum includes heating and melting saccharide and gum base together or separately to obtain chewing gum dough, then cooling and solidifying the chewing gum dough at 5-30°C by adding or not adding a seed agent to obtain hardened chewing gum, and pulverizing the hardened chewing gum. The tablet chewing gum is obtained by passing the powdered chewing gum obtained by the producing method, through a sieve and then directly tableting the powdered chewing gum.
