To provide a powdery beverage containing plant as raw material having proper dispersibility after addition of liquid when drunk, maintaining the dispersed condition, taking on green color projecting sensation of vegetables, having clear smoothness through the throat when drunk, containing plant as raw material, and in particular, having 100 wt.% of plant components which are free of food additives.
The powdery beverage containing plant as raw material is obtained by admixing 1-40 pts.wt. of dried substance of juice of at least one kind selected from barley young leaves, adlay young leaves, wheat young leaves, Angelica keiskei and alfalfa, and powder obtained by drying crushed plant to 20 pts.wt. of plant powder followed by granulating the mixture. The plant powder comprises at least one kind selected from barley young leaves, kale, Angelica keiskei, alfalfa, mulukhiya, adlay young leaves, wheat young leaves, broccoli, broccoli sprouts, cabbage, Brassica Rapa, Japanese radish leaves, Japanese radish, Brassica nipponica, Brassica juncea, watercress, cress sprouts, Wasabia japonica, spinach and the like.
