Title:
POWDERY COATING MATERIAL COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3941128
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition comprising specific powder containing specified amounts of a specific fluoride vinylidene copolymer and a specific methyl methacrylate copolymer, excellent in flexing resistance and suitable for coating a metallic board in a post processing, etc.
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a fluoride vinylidene copolymer having a melting point of ≤150°C, a degree of crystallization of ≤35% and a weight average molecular weight of 1×104 to 5×105 and (B) 10-400 pts.wt. of a methyl methacrylate copolymer having a glass transition temperature of ≤110°C and a weight average molecular weight of 1×104 to 5×105. The obtained powder has an average particle diameter of 1-100μm and an apparent density of 0.2-1g/ml. In order to produce the powder, 10-400 pts.wt. of a mixture of methyl methacrylate and a monomer which is copolymerizable with the methyl methacrylate is subjected to seed polymerization on the particles of the component A in an aqueous dispersion liquid containing 100 pts.wt. of the particles.
