Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare the subject composition easily giving a uniform kneaded bean paste simply by mixing with water and heating with a microwave oven by adding a modified starch as a starch component to a composition composed mainly of dried powdery bean paste and sugar.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be prepared by compounding (A) 10-50wt.% of dried powdery bean paste (powdery bean paste prepared from adzuki beans (red beans), sweet potato, pumpkin, etc.), (B) 40-80wt.% of a sugar (e.g. sucrose or glucose), (C) 2-10wt.% of a modified starch (preferably a phosphate-crosslinked dietherified potato starch, etc.) and, as necessary, (D) common salt, a colorant, etc.
