Title:
POWDERY PHENOLIC COCONDENSATION RESIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03265619
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin improved in a rate of cocondensation and storage stability by using a specified addition condensation reaction product and powdering this compound. CONSTITUTION:A phenol (i) is reacted with an aldehyde (ii) to obtain a compound (a). Separately, an amino compound (iii) is reacted with component (ii) in an amount to give a molar ratio of component (iii) to component (ii) of 1:(2-10) at a pH of 1.0-3.9 to obtain a compound (b). Component (i) and/or component (a) is mixed with a mixture of component (b) with optionally component (iii) in such an amount that the molar ratio of component (i) to component (ii) is (10-1):(1-10) and the molar ratio of component (ii) to the total of components (i) and (iii) is (1.5):1, and the mixture is reacted under acidic conditions. The reaction mixture is then reacted under neutral or alkaline conditions, while in any arbitrary reaction stage, at least either alkali metal or an ammonium salt and at least one of alkaline earth metals are added to the reaction mixture and reacted to obtain the title powdery resin which is a condensate of components (i), (ii) and (iii) and contains an addition condensation reaction product having a rate of methylene bonds in the component (i)/component (ii) cocondensation to the total methylene condensation bonds of 20% or above.
