This powdery material containing 45-75 wt.% range pigment is obtained by removing water content from a pigment paste containing water and the pigment by using a kneader or a vibration dryer. The pigment is selected from a phthalocyanine-based, a dioxazine violet-based, an indanthrene blue-based, a perylene-basede, a quinacridone-based, a diketopyrrolopyrrole-based and azo-based pigments. To the pigment paste, a high polymeric dispersing agent, surfactant, pigment derivative, etc., are blended as necessary.
