To provide a center-motor type power-assisted bicycle having an internal hub gear, which enables regenerative charging without complicating equipment.
A hub 1 of a drive wheel includes a speed-changing mechanism 3 composed of a planetary gear mechanism, a reverse-input one-way clutch 2, and a speed-changing control mechanism 10. The speed-changing mechanism 3 has a sun gear 3a, and transmits a driving force to a drive wheel through a sprocket 4. In response to the driving force, the speed-changing control mechanism 10 enables or disables relative rotation of a planetary carrier 3c and the sun gear 3a via a first speed-changing one-way clutch 3e composed of a ratchet clutch, and enables or disables rotation of the sun gear 3a around an axle 5 via a second speed-changing one-way clutch 3i composed of a roller clutch, to change speed in a direct-connection state and at least a high-speed state higher in speed than the direct-connection state. In response to a reverse input, the reverse input can be transmitted via the reverse-input one-way clutch 2 composed of a roller clutch.
