To provide a power assistance running device capable of performing a smooth running at a predetermined running speed in response to a walking speed of an operator without making any variation of an output data value transmitted to a motor.

A control device 4 for a power assistance running device 1 changes an output data value O(t) for a motor 3 at an initial stage in response to a variation of an input data value I(t), stores a value in which a first variation value D1 is subtracted from the maximum value Imax as a reference data value R(1) when the input data value I(t) is decreased from the maximum value Imax out of the first variation value D1, and then changes the output data value O(t) for the motor 3 into a value corresponding to the value of the reference data value R(1). Further, the control device 4 stores the input data value I(t) as a replacing reference data value R(n) (n=2 or more) when the second difference data value ¾I(t)-R(n)¾ (n=1 or more) exceeds the second variation value D2 and then the control device 4 changes the output data O(t) for the motor 3 into a value corresponding to the replacing reference data value R(n) (n=2 or more).
