Abstract:

To provide a power cable connection structure which can prevent the breakdown of a power cable due to torsional load in case that this torsional loads acts on the power cable laid vertically.

This power cable connection structure is provided with an upper metallic member 2, which is connected to the conductor 26 of an upper power cable 7, a lower metallic member 13, which is connected to the conductor 27 of a lower power cable 25, an upper insulating member 1, which is connected to an insulating body 6 of the upper power cable and has an upper metallic member within, a lower insulating member 13, which is connected to the insulator 24 of the lower power cable and has a lower metallic member within, an upper connecting container 9, which accommodates the upper insulating member, and a lower connecting container 17, which accommodates the lower insulating member. The upper metallic member is connected rotatably to the lower metallic member, and the upper insulating member is connected rotatably to the lower insulating member, and the upper connecting container is connected rotatably to the lower connecting container, and also space 29 is formed between the upper insulating member and the lower insulating member, and this space is charged with insulating oil 8.
