Abstract:
To provide a power cable system capable of reducing a cross-sectional area of a conductor and suppressing the cost by minimizing the cross-sectional area of an expensive copper conductor.SOLUTION: A power cable system 100 includes: a power cable 10 having a sea bottom cable portion 11 buried in a sea bottom SB, an offshore connection cable portion 12 extending from the sea bottom cable portion 11 and connected to a power generation facility W, and a land connection cable portion 13 extending from the sea bottom cable portion 11 to a cost shore portion SN and connected to a land cable portion 14 inside a beach manhole 30 installed in the coast shore portion SN; and a heat dissipation acceleration system 20 for dissipating heat and cooling from the land connection cable portion 13 or the offshore connection cable portion 12. A heat load per unit length in the land connection cable portion 13 and the offshore connection cable portion 12 is smaller than a heat load per unit length in the sea bottom cable portion 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
