To provide a power conditioner capable of performing system interconnection operation safely by determining the off failure of a switch for system interconnection accurately.
In a power conditioner which converts a DC power supplied from a fuel cell device 1 into an AC power capable of system interconnection with a power system 2, a monitor circuit 40a for monitoring the voltage between lines is provided between an inverter 32 and a switch 32. When starting system interconnection operation, a PC control unit 34 outputs a control signal for connecting an inverter 32 and the power system 2 to a switch 33 before the inverter 32 starts output operation, and output operation of the inverter 32 is started on condition that the monitor circuit 40a detects a voltage corresponding to the voltage of the power system 2.
