Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when an adapter is connected to an electric heater and the electric heater is once turned off by receiving a conduction control command from a controller, and then, if the adapter receives a command for canceling power restriction from the controller because extra power is available, the electric heater is turned on from the off-state without allowing a user to notice the change.SOLUTION: A power control system includes a controller for measuring the main power of a distribution board, and an adapter connected between a commercial power supply and an electric apparatus. The adapter has a power-pattern detection portion for detecting change patterns of power consumption and current consumed by the connected electric apparatus and an automatic resetting propriety determining section for determining whether or not automatic resetting is allowable by discriminating the type of electric apparatus connected to the adapter while receiving an output of the power pattern detection portion. When conduction control of the electric apparatus is returned from a restricted state to a normal state and only if the automatic resetting propriety determining section determines that automatic resetting is allowable, automatic resetting is executed. If determining that automatic resetting is not allowable, automatic resetting is not executed.
