When the power balance of a motor generator is suddenly changed due to a sudden change of a travelling situation to cause an excessive power over the charging power tolerance value of a battery device or the withstand voltage of a capacitor C2, a capacitor C3 is connected between the neutral point N1 of a three-phase coil 12 and the neutral point N2 of a three phase coil 14. The controller generates a voltage difference between the neutral points N1, N2 based on voltage VH by controlling the zero voltage vector of inverters 20, 30 to accumulate the generated excessive power in the capacitor C3.
