Abstract:
This power conversion device is provided with: a PWM output unit for converting three-phase voltage commands to PWM pulses by comparing the three-phase voltage commands with a triangle wave carrier signal; a power converter having switching elements that are driven on the basis of the PWM pulses; a current detector inserted between each switching element of the power converter and a DC bus line and detecting each phase current flowing through the power converter; and a detection site calculation unit for outputting detection timings and detection widths on the basis of the three-phase voltage commands. The detection site calculation unit determines the order of the maximum phase, a medium phase, and the minimum phase in the order of the magnitude of the three-phase voltage commands, obtains detection time from the maximum phase, the medium phase, and the minimum phase, compares the maximum phase, the medium phase, or the minimum phase with the lower limit value of the three-phase voltage commands, and outputs the detection timings and the detection widths on the basis of the comparison result.
