Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device with a simple structure which can output an alarm signal from a drive circuit for driving a semiconductor switching element of a lower arm even when an overcurrent occurs in a semiconductor switching element of an upper arm of a half-bridge circuit.SOLUTION: A drive circuit for driving a semiconductor switching element of a lower arm of a half-bridge circuit is provided with: an overcurrent protection circuit which stops on/off drive of the semiconductor switching element when an overcurrent occurs in the semiconductor switching element; and an alarm signal generation circuit which generates a first alarm signal at the time of operation of the overcurrent protection circuit of the lower arm and generates a second alarm signal when a current flowing in a freewheeling diode antiparallelly connected to the semiconductor switching element of the lower arm exceeds a current limit value.
