Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce restriction of designing and operating and to achieve various specifications only by changing control of semiconductor switches.SOLUTION: A power conversion device includes a conversion section 1, a switcher 2, and a control circuit 3. The conversion section 1 includes a plurality of chopper-type converters using semiconductor switches S1 and S2. Output terminals of the converters are commonly connected. The switcher 2 selects a first state that commonly connects input terminals of the converters and a second state that individually separates the input terminals of the converters. The control circuit 3 controls on and off of the semiconductor switches S1 and S2. The switcher 2 selects the first state when DC power is inputted to the conversion section 1 and selects the second state when AC power is inputted to the conversion section 1. The control circuit 3 changes the on and off states of the semiconductor switches S1 and S2 according to the polarity of an AC voltage when the switcher 2 selects the second state.
