Title:
POWER CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010252609
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a power converter capable of preventing a first and a second switches connected in series from simultaneously turning on.

A motor controller 1 has IGBTs 110a to 110f, MOSFETs 111a to 111f, and driving circuits 12 to 14. The IGBTs 110a, 110d are connected in series. The MOSFETs 111a, 111d are connected in between the gate and the emitter of the IGBTs 110a, 110d, respectively. The driving circuit 12 releases retaining off of the IGBT 110a by the MOSFET 111a after the IGBT 110d is turned off, and releases retaining off of the IGBT 110d by the MOSFET 111d after the IGBT 110a is turned off. Consequently, both IGBTs 110a, 110d connected in series are not turned on simultaneously. Accordingly, the IGBTs 110a, 110d connected in series can be prevented from simultaneously turning on.
