Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of reducing a current harmonic and outputting a voltage to cope with a case when a sudden change is made in a voltage command value.SOLUTION: The power converter includes: a circuit including one or more unit converters 11 connected in series in each phase, each composed of a single-phase full bridge converter including a plurality of semiconductor switching elements 12 and a DC voltage source; and a control device 2 for applying, to the semiconductor switching element 12 of the unit converter 11, a one-pulse control gate signal in which one positive pulse voltage and one negative pulse voltage are respectively output per fundamental wave cycle of an output voltage. The control device 2 compares a voltage command value with a threshold to make a pulse output change, and judges timing to change the output voltage of the unit converter 11, so as to change the output voltage of the unit converter 11.
