To obtain a power converting equipment which saves the maintenance working hour of smoothing capacitors and cooling fans which necessitate maintenance.
A plurality of semiconductor switching elements, and snubber capacitors which are connected with the semiconductor switching elements are arranged on a cooling body. Smoothing capacitors serving as a power supply, a first cooling fan for cooling the smoothing capacitors and the inside of an equipment, and a second cooling fan for cooling the cooling body are at least installed in this power converting equipment. From the upper part of the equipment, the following are arranged in order; the first cooling fan 2, the smoothing capacitors 3, the semiconductor switching elements 7, and the second cooling fan 10. The semiconductor switching elements 7 provided with snapper capacitors are arranged in a zigzag type on the cooling body. A metal fixture for fixing the smoothing capacitors are L-shaped. The smoothing capacitors are fixed on the vertical plane of the L-shaped metal fixture, and the first cooling fan is fixed on the horizontal plane. The first cooling fan is so fixed to the L-shaped metal fixture that three sides out of peripheral four sides are used as guides and the left side is pressed.
