To solve the problem that an internal combustion engine cannot be started by a motor under such a condition as a machine is cooled in the case where a simple one-way clutch is employed for the clutch between an internal combustion engine and a motor.
In a hybrid vehicle which uses both an internal combustion engine 11 and a motor 12 as a vehicle drive source, a one-way clutch and a temperature-dependent clutch are interposed, in parallel, into a power transmission path between the internal combustion engine 11 and the motor 12. The one-way clutch transmits a positive torque from the internal combustion engine 11 to the side of the motor 12 while disconnects transmission of a negative torque. The temperature-dependent clutch switches between connection and disconnection between the internal combustion engine 11 and the motor 12 according to engine temperatures by utilizing deformation of a bimetal in which two materials, having a different thermal expansion coefficient, are combined. Connection is made under such a machine cold condition in which a machine temperature is lower than a predetermined temperature, thereby allowing starting of the internal combustion engine 11 by the motor 12.
