Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to regulate the power factor of a system bus without provision of an exclusive power factor regulating device by regulating the power factor of the bus by regulating the power for secondarily exciting an induction motor. CONSTITUTION:A speed regulating resistor 14 used at starting time is opened by a switch 16 at the ordinary time, and the prescribed secondary exciting power is supplied through a route of a power rectifier 10, a chopper 9, a DC intermediate circuit and a power inverter 6 to the secondary side of an induction motor. A controller 17 first determines the controlling leading angle of the thyristor group of the inverter 6 based on the deviation signal between the power factor set command signal and the power factor detection signal of the system bus side, and then determines the conductivity of the chopper 9. Since the power factor of the system is regulated with the motor of the power supply source, the magnitude of the power source facility can be alleviated.
