Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power failure detector and a game machine therewith, capable of avoiding destruction or malfunctions in a reset IC due to the input voltage of the reset IC into a voltage input terminal out of its specified range, if AC power voltage fluctuates.
SOLUTION: AC power voltage is rectified by rectifying diodes 63 to 66 and amplified by an amplifier 80 via input resistor 83, so that output voltage clamped at peak voltage is inputted into a voltage detecting terminal AC of the reset IC90. In a preferred embodiment, the amplifier 80 is an emitter follower amplifier with a transistor 84, in which the input resistor 83 is connected to a base electrode, Vcc is applied to the collector electrode, and the emitter electrode is grounded via an emitter resistor.
