PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a voltage difference across a switch connected between a first power line and a second power line.SOLUTION: A power flow controller for a power distribution system includes a detector for detecting the voltage across a switch connected between first and second power lines connected between a power supply and a power load, and a controller for controlling a power conditioner which conditions at least one of the reactive power and the effective power in at least one of the first and second power lines so as to reduce the voltage difference across the switch in accordance with detection results from the detector.
