PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a highly efficient energy consumption of a power generating system for a ship that drives a power generator by a main engine.SOLUTION: A power generating system for a ship that moves by driving a propeller 5 with a main engine 1 includes a main power generator 2 to be driven by the main engine 1, an auxiliary power generator 4 to be driven by an auxiliary engine 3, a binary power generator 11 to be driven by exhaust heat from the main engine, a propeller shaft idling power generator 50, a wind power generator 60, and a rolling power generator 70. An alternative current AC2 from the main power generator 2 is supplied via a PWM power supply 25 to a bus 26 as a stable alternative current AC1. The alternative currents AC2 from the power generator 50, 60, and 70 are converted into direct currents DC through a PWM power supply. And then, the direct currents DC are charged in a lithium-ion battery 40, and supplied from the battery, as required, to the power supply to the bus as alternative currents AC1.
