Abstract:
To improve the power generation efficiency of a thermal electric power plant or a nuclear power plant using seawater and to substantially improve maintainability and to effectively use the power generating system for a fishery.
A power generating system using seawater as the cooling water of a thermal electric power plant or a nuclear power plant has a water intake pipe 5 extending from the bottom of the sea 2 to a surface part 3 thereof and having a water intake port 4 for drawing the seawater in the depth, and a seawater supply pipe 6 connecting the top end of the water intake pipe 5 to a power plant 1 horizontally along the surface of the sea 2. Return water after heat exchange is discharged in the region in a net 11.
