Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform shifting from rising of a generator voltage of an electric propulsion system to a power supply operation, switching of partial charge of a parallel operation, switching of a charging mode, and the like.SOLUTION: An electric propulsion system comprises: a power generation device constituted of an AC generator which is driven by an engine or turbine and generates power, and a rectifier by which AC power outputted from the AC generator is converted into DC power and outputted; a storage battery which is charged by the power generation device; and a propulsion electric motor which is driven by power supplied from at least either the power generation device or the storage battery. The power generation device includes a power generation control device which controls an output voltage fed back from the AC generator to a commanded voltage and at least when the output voltage of the AC generator is lower than a voltage of the storage battery, voltage control is performed while using the output voltage fed back from the AC generator as an AC-side voltage of the rectifier.
