Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of efficiently uniformizing sea water intake, in response to changes in swelling sea waves.SOLUTION: A sawtooth-shaped coastline is artificially built, with which the seabed inclination in the cross-section is gradually made gentler from the sea to the land side in a range between 7% and 10%, at the same time laying pipes to a reservoir 17 on the land at inclinations between 3% and 5%. In a planar view, a V-shaped jetty 1 is constructed of which the width gradually becomes narrower from the sea to the land side, having an efficient angle between 30° and 40° that opens from the coastline toward the sea. Swelling sea waves that constantly wash the shore are led into the V-shaped bay and the sea water is stored in the reservoir 17 constructed on the land. The stored sea water is constantly adjusted and discharged, for securing a power source all the time.
