Abstract:
To provide a power generation mechanism or the like which: is mounted with an internal combustion engine having a simple structure and capable of being easily and inexpensively manufactured; and can prevent fuel droplets from attaching to a head section of an intake valve when started up.SOLUTION: A power generation mechanism 1 comprises a control device 60 which allows an internal combustion engine 10 to be stopped at a crank angle causing all intake valves 4 to be fully closed when determining that the internal combustion engine 10 is going to be stopped. The control device also causes the intake valves 4 to open without activating a heater 7 when determining that the internal combustion engine 10 is going to be started up and a temperature of the intake valves 4 is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature on the basis of information from a temperature sensor 14; or causes the intake valves 4 to open after activating the heater 7 until the temperature of the intake valves 4 is determined to becomes equal to or higher than the predetermined temperature when determining that the internal combustion engine 10 is going to be started up and the temperature of the intake valves 4 is less than the predetermined temperature on the basis of the information from the temperature sensor 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
