To provide a new power generation method and power generator at reduced cost using exhaust gas which can utilize or oxidize H2 or CO contained in the high-temperature exhaust gas generated in a converter or a coke oven, and to provide a method and device for oxidation processing of exhaust gas.
The power generation method utilizes exhaust gas containing H2 or CO with concentration exceeding the predetermined value; and locates a fuel electrode 43 for a fuel cell 100 using the ion conductive oxide as a solid electrolyte, in a gas duct S served as the exhaust gas passage to bring it into contact with the exhaust gas passing through the gas duct S, for generating power by supplying oxygen to the side of an oxygen electrode 43 of the fuel cell 100. As a result, high-temperature exhaust gas generated in a converter or a coke oven can be directly processed as it is, thereby allowing H2 or CO contained in the exhaust gas to be utilized or oxidized at reduced cost.
