To provide a power generating system economically generating electric power, capable of making gasoline or methanol as liquid fuel easy to be utilized by a fuel cell.

The fuel cell comprises a fuel supplying device 41 supplying fuel, a fuel reforming device 42 reforming the fuel into hydrogen-rich gas, and a fuel cell main body 43 generating electric power by making the hydrogen in the hydrogen-rich gas electrochemically react with the oxygen in the air. A fuel treating device A, performing a fuel improving treatment by fractionating and ionizing hydrocarbon compound, sulfur compound or the like contained in the fuel flowing with a prescribed flow rate by magnetic force, is arranged at a fuel supply pipe 46 connecting the fuel outlet side of the fuel supplying device 41 and a fuel supplying side of the fuel reforming device 42.
