Abstract:

To efficiently capture and collect submicron particulates under a high-temperature environment by disposing base fabrics consisting of woven fabrics or knitted fabrics of heat resistant fibers and layers consisting of fluororesin fibers as filter media to be used for a dust collector and forming the outermost layers of the fiber media with these layers.

The filter media to be used for the dust collector consist of the base fabrics consisting of the heat resistant fibers and the layers consisting of the fluororesin fibers disposed on at least the outermost layers, i.e., preferably felt layers of PTFE stable fibers having branches or loops. For example, the filter media of a double layer felt type are formed by disposing the outermost felt layers 1 consisting of the staple fibers of PTFE on at least the one outermost layers in the intermediate felt layers 2, forming the intermediate felt layers 2 of the heat resistant fibers 4 and disposing the base fabrics 2 in the central portions thereof. The bag filters are formed of the filter media having excellent heat resistance, dust collectability and repetitive bendability in the manner described above, by which power generation efficiency is improved.
