To provide a power generator whose entire structure can be made compact and can effectively generate electric power.
A power generator comprises: a crank 3 fixed to a rotatable shaft 2 which is pivotally supported by a machine frame 1 and driven by a motor M; a swinging disc 4 rotatably fitted to the crank 3; a plurality of electromagnets 5 being arranged on the machine frame 1 with a constant space between each other in the peripheral direction at a position having a prescribed radius from the rotation center O1 of the rotatable shaft 2; sliders 7 mounting a magnet 6 being pulled by each electromagnet 5, the sliders 7 being arranged so that they can freely move forward and backward reciprocally in a linear direction passing the center O1 of the rotatable shaft 2 with regard to the electromagnets 5; and connecting rods 8 for pivotally connecting each slider 7 and a position arranged on the peripheral part of the swinging disc 4 with a constant space between each position in its peripheral direction. Sliders 7 move forward and backward by the swinging movement of the connecting rods 8 via the crank 3 and the swinging disc 4 by a rotary-drive of the rotatable shaft 2. Thus each magnet 6 repeatedly moves closer to and away from each electromagnet 5 so as to generate electromotive force to each electromagnet 5.
