Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator capable of exchanging energy of wind into electric energy more widely.SOLUTION: Regeneration mode of a power generator includes a first regeneration mode and a second regeneration mode (high efficiency regeneration mode) performed in high efficiency range where the peripheral velocity ratio λ of a vertical axis windmill 20 contains maximum output factor Cpmax thereof, and a third regeneration mode (low efficiency regeneration mode) performed in low efficiency range not containing the maximum output factor Cpmax. When the moving average wind velocity Vgr is equal to or above a third regeneration mode start reference value Vd (low efficiency discrimination threshold), the controller 80 controls an AC generator 30 in low efficiency regeneration mode via an inverter 40, and when the moving average wind velocity Vgr is less than the third regeneration mode start reference value Vd (low efficiency discrimination threshold), the controller 80 controls the AC generator 30 in high efficiency regeneration mode via the inverter 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
