Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator capable of obtaining predetermined power while achieving downsizing of the device.SOLUTION: The power generator includes a photothermal power generation element 3 including an emitter 1 for emitting electrons by receiving light and heat and a collector 2 for capturing the electrons emitted from the emitter 1 and is a power generator S for generating power between the emitter and the collector. The power generator also includes light condensing and irradiation means 4 for irradiating the emitter 1 with emitted light L from a high temperature emission generating body 7b heated to a temperature equal to or higher than 700K or so by condensing with a condensation rate of equal to or higher than 10 and equal to or less than 110. Band gap of a semiconductor constituting the emitter 1 is selected to be equal to or higher than 0.35 eV and equal to or less than 0.6 eV.
