Abstract:

To satisfactorily secure power output performance while satisfactorily suppressing the deterioration of emission during catalyst warm-up.

When a request power P* cannot be covered by discharge from a battery 50 when catalyst warm-up should be executed, a power limit value Plim is set to be made to be large according as an integrated intake air quantity Qi is increased within a range in which hydrocarbon in exhaust gas can be purified by an exhaust gas purification catalyst (step S142), power output from an engine 22 is set to be equal to or less than a power limit value Plim, and an engine 22 and motors MG1 and MG2 are controlled so that torque based on the request torque Tr* can be output to a ring gear shaft 32a (S144, S146, S150 to S190).
