Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure the recovery of an energy from blast furnace gas by providing a governor valve in a pipe line by-passing a gas turbine in a power plant of a blast furnace top pressure recovery system using an induction power generator.

CONSTITUTION: Air from the air blower 1 is supplied through the hot air furnace 2 into a blast furnace 3, and the gas B discharghed from the top of the furnace 3 is directed through a first dust remover 5 provided in a gas path 4 into a second dust remover 6. The gas B enters through an inlet shut-down valve 9 into a gas turbine 11 of the above-captioned power plant 10, where it drives an induction power generator 12 and then is directed through an outlet shut-down valve 13 and a water shield valve 14 into a gas holder 15. In this case, a bypath pipe 16 is provided in parallel with a gas turbine 11, with the interposition of a governor valve 17. Thus, the recovery of an energy of the blast furnace gas can be exactly performed by controlling the revolving number of the generator 12 by operating the governor valve 17.
