Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply regulator with which it is possible to prevent a load connected to an output terminal from degradation, breakdown, etc., when connection between a feedback terminal and a voltage divider circuit is open-circuited.SOLUTION: The power supply regulator includes: an input terminal IN for receiving an input voltage Vin; an output terminal OUT for outputting an output voltage Vout; an output stage 5 connected between the input terminal IN and the output terminal OUT; a feedback terminal FB for receiving a feedback voltage Vfb having a fixed relation with the output voltage Vout; a reference voltage source 2 for generating a reference voltage Vref; a control circuit 34 for controlling the operation of the output stage 5 on the basis of the feedback voltage Vfb of the feedback terminal FB and the reference voltage Vref; and an open-circuit detection circuit 10 for maintaining the output stage 5 in an off state when the open-circuit state of the feedback terminal FB is detected (or a voltage fixation circuit for fixing the output voltage Vout when connection between the feedback terminal FB and the voltage divider circuit 12 is open-circuited).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
