To provide a refrigerated warehouse having a plurality of cooling chambers that is able to perform power saving operation and also stop a refrigerating machine without causing a temperature of each cooling chamber to exceed a preset temperature during the power consumption peak hours in the daytime.
During a nighttime zone when power consumption is decreased, a plurality of cooling chambers 24a to 24c are cooled down until reaching a second preset temperature which is lower than a daytime preset temperature. During a daytime zone when power consumption reaches its peak, operation of a refrigerating machine 26 is stopped, and also temperatures of the cooling chambers 14a to 14c are monitored. If the temperature of the cooling chamber 14a (high load type cooling chamber) exceeds the daytime preset temperature, CO2 brine liquid which is cooled and liquified by air coolers 44b and 44c of the other cooling chambers 14b and 14c (storage type cooling chambers) is supplied to the air cooler 44a of the cooling chamber 14a, in order to cool down the temperature of the cooling chamber 14a until reaching the daytime preset temperature.
