Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power sensor capable of outputting a power signal containing just a component of power consumed by a load without requiring a special circuit such as a low pass filter to be provided in an output stage.SOLUTION: A power sensor 1 comprises ; a charge pump 6 that receives as input, a predetermined positive voltage VDD which is based on a ground potential GND and that outputs a negative voltage -VDD obtained by inverting the polarity of the positive voltage; a current measurement circuit 2 that operates based on the positive voltage VDD and the negative voltage -VDD, measures a load current Ii flowing through a load 100 and outputs a current detection signal V1 which is based on the ground potential GND; a voltage measurement circuit 3 that operates base on the positive voltage VDD and the negative voltage -VDD, measures a load voltage VL across the load 100 and generates a voltage detection signal V2 which is based on the ground potential GND; and a multiplication circuit 4 that multiplies the current detection signal V1 and the voltage detection signal V2 together to generate a power signal Vout which is based on the ground potential GND.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
