Abstract:
PURPOSE: To energy-save a locomotive by charging a storage battery for the locomotive by utilizing solar heat.
CONSTITUTION: A solar heat generating panel 3 is installed on the roof of a passenger train 2 which is coupled to a locomotive 1, electric power obtained by the panel 3 is supplied through a jumper coupler 4 to the locomotive 1, thereby charging a storage battery SB. An auxiliary generator GA generates insufficient power of the solar heat generation. In this manner, the locomotive can be energy-saved.
