PURPOSE: To control a power source output in a vehicle which has a fluid type power transmission device having a pump connected to a power source and a turbine connected to a driving wheel, and an actuator which can fluctuate an output of the power source.
CONSTITUTION: A target turbine rotational speed is determined by a target turbine rotational speed determining means 19 based on a gear position of a transmission and a vehicle running speed. A target driving wheel torque is determined by a target driving wheel torque determining means 21 based on a pump rotational speed and a turbine rotational speed. A target pump rotational speed is determined by a target pump rotational speed determining means 23 based on the target turbine rotational speed and the target driving wheel torque. When an excessive slipping judgment means 15 judges occurrence of excessive slipping of the driving wheel, operation of an actuator 6 is controlled by means of an actuator control means 25 based on comparison of the pump rotational speed to the target pump rotational speed.
