Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source system for preventing a DC deviation of a voltage applied to a load.
SOLUTION: Two switching elements Q1, Q2 are self-excitation driven by using a drive transformer T2 so as to be alternately turned on and off. The one element Q2 is functioned as a switching element of a step-down chopper, and the voltage across a smoothing capacitor C5 is controlled to a voltage lower than the peak voltage of the output voltage of a rectifier DB. A resistor R2 corresponding to the element Q2 in which a chopper current flows of resistors R1, R2 connected to the secondary winding of the transformer T2 is set to a value smaller than that of the other resistor R1. The mean value of the on period of the elements Q1, Q2 of the one period of the power source voltage of an AC power source VS is set to substantially equal by this setting, and a cataphoresis of discharge lamps La1, La2 can be prevented.
